Clearbrook
Clearbrook is a pretty decent and large residential area, and is home to a busy commercial lane along South Fraser Way. The neighborhood includes everything you’d expect from a well-established neighborhood, including chain eateries, schools, old-age homes, parks, recreational centers, and shopping districts.
Located towards the west of the city, the neighborhood is a blend of townhouses, apartments, and single-family homes, but the housing isn’t the only thing that makes Clearbrook a great option for families. Everything is nearby, including shopping malls like Sevenoaks Shopping Centre, supermarkets like Save-On-Foods, Value Village, and Real Canadian Superstore, and a plethora of eateries and cafés.
Entertainment & recreational options in the neighborhood are also plenty. There’s a BMX track, a cricket ground, MSA Arena, and Matsqui Recreation Center. The MSA Arena is an NHL-sized area that has a seating capacity for around 1000 people and an amazing ice rink while the Matsqui Recreation Center offers a variety of things, including an ice rink, a swimming pool with a wave machine, an indoor water slide, a fitness center, and a hot tub, sauna, and steam room.
You don’t need to go far to get your driving license, either. The neighborhood includes driving schools as well as the ICBC driver licensing office.
For outdoor enthusiasts, there are a lot of parks, including the Clearbrook Park where you can find sports fields and wooded trails, Fishtrap Creek Park, Old Riverside Park, and the trails like the Discovery Trail while art enthusiasts will love the Reach Gallery Museum, which also displays local history and culture exhibits. There are amusement parks for kids, too.
That’s not all! You can also find a number of temples and churches in the neighborhood, so you really won’t have to go far for anything!
The residential area also includes a lot of schools, colleges, public libraries, child care centers, and even a retirement home. If you’re ever in need of a relaxing day, the area also has some great retreat centers. The crime rate in the area is low and there’s a great sense of community, making it an overall great neighborhood.
